Shanklin Rotary Club announced the final taking from the sale, held at Sandown Airport, was £29,400, which was £2,200 more than last year's event. With overheads taken off, the rest will be distributed to individuals and organisations local to the club, as well as ten per cent given to international causes. The rotary sale was held in the Ability Dogs 4 Young People and the Wight Aviation Museum buildings, with many volunteers coming together to run the sale. Volunteers from Men in Sheds, Shanklin Sandown Rowing Club and Sandown and Shanklin Rugby Club also contributed to the effort. "The event gives us the money we need to support a lot of local organisations and individuals."
