They were seen setting up on Park 66 in Pilsworth earlier today, Thursday (January 29), by the side of the Age UK charity shop. It comes after an encampment of around a dozen caravans was spotted on the car park outside the former TGI Friday’s restaurant in nearby Prestwich on Wednesday morning (January 28). Councillor Sean Thorpe, representing the St Mary’s ward, mirrored the council’s comments, adding that they and the police would be engaged “should there be any issues that arise” and that residents can contact Cllr Thorpe or one of his colleagues directly if they have any questions or concerns.
