The new Lidl supermarket, on Brinkworth Road, in Royal Wootton Bassett, has been in the making for over two years, after plans were first given the green light back in September 2023. Speaking exclusively to the Adver, Lidl GB has now confirmed that the new supermarket in Royal Wootton Bassett will be opened to the public on Thursday, February 5. Now it's home to a huge supermarket and country park (Image: Dave Cox)The new Lidl represents a multi-million pound investment and has seen the creation of up to 40 new jobs. Landscaping for a 2.15-hecatre country park has also been completed next door to the store. The Royal Wootton Bassett store marks continued growth for Lidl across the county, with the German discount firm having recently celebrated the opening of its 1,000th store.
