The highly celebrated restaurant outside of Machynlleth is rated one of the best places to eat in the UK and is the only double Michelin starred restaurant in Wales. However Double Michelin Star chef Tom Kerridge has backed Ynyshir to go one further and join the absolute elite in the culinary world. “All the buzz, is I think Gareth Ward for three stars at Ynyshir hall.”Currently, there are only 10 restaurants in the UK with three stars in the Michelin guide with only one located out of the southeast and London. Chef Gareth Ward is famous for his adventurous and inventive style and Ynyshir offers a five-hour tasting menu made up of dozens of courses. TV Chef James Martin has hailed the restaurant as “the best place to eat in the world”.
