Fermanagh and Omagh SMEs lead Northern Ireland for cash flow positivity, according to the latest Access to Finance Report 2026 from Enterprise Northern Ireland and the British Business Bank.
The report found that 77 per cent of SMEs in the area are operating with positive cash flow, and 42 per cent expect steady trading conditions in 2026.
“Businesses want simple, visible, joined-up support.”Despite the positive sentiment, just 45 per cent of Fermanagh and Omagh businesses expect growth in 2026 — the lowest of any region in Northern Ireland and below the Northern Ireland average of 56 per cent.
The report also showed that 10 per cent of Fermanagh and Omagh businesses anticipate contraction, while only 3 per cent expect to face trading difficulties.
“The British Business Bank is fully committed to ensuring smaller businesses across Northern Ireland have equal access to capital.
