CAMPAIGNERS behind a protest designed to prevent motorists driving on the pavement in Shottery have hailed it a success as it comes to an end. The protests have seen members of the North Shottery Residents’ Association stand on the pavement on Shottery Road near Stratford Girls’ Grammar School, preventing vehicles from using the paths to squeeze through the congested streets. Protests have taken place twice a day on each Tuesday in January, and now the group will meet in February to plan what the next step may be.
