Gleizes, a journalist for the So Press media group (So Foot, Society, etc.
), had traveled to Algeria to report on Jeunesse Sportive de Kabylie (JSK), the major football club in the Algerian city of Tizi Ouzou.
The Algerian authorities have accused him of conducting interviews with individuals linked to the Movement for the Self-Determination of Kabylie, which Algiers has classified as a terrorist organization since 2021.
