Boeing has officially confirmed that Air India is the buyer behind a previously “unidentified” order for its Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. The deal covers 30 Boeing 737 MAX jets intended to support Air India’s expanding short and medium-haul network. The order includes an incremental purchase of 20 737 MAX 8, and an order for 10 of the larger-capacity 737 MAX 10 variants designed for high-demand routes. Air India’s order comprises a mix of 737 MAX 8 and higher-capacity 737 MAX 10 aircraft, allowing the airline to tailor capacity across dense domestic and regional routes. The 737 MAX 8 provides operational flexibility, while the 737 MAX 10 offers increased seating for high-demand markets.
