Shortly before 6.30pm, police received a 999-call reporting a collision involving a blue BMW car and a pedestrian on Holt Road. The pedestrian, a 24-year-old local man, sustained serious leg injuries and was taken to the Wrexham Maelor Hospital, North Wales Police (NWP) said. Police are now appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following the incident. A spokesperson for the NWP's Roads Policing Unit said: "Officers are appealing for witnesses and are urging anybody who may have witnessed the collision, or anybody who was in the area at the time to contact us via the website or by calling 101, quoting reference number 26000077393."
