The collision happened on Darwen Road, outside the Co-op, with police, fire crews and ambulance services in attendance. Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) confirmed they were called shortly before 4.45pm on Thursday, January 29. A spokesperson said: “At just before 4.45pm today (Thursday 29 January), fire crews were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Darwen Road, Bromley Cross in Bolton. Two fire engines from Bolton North and Bolton Central fire stations quickly attended the incident which involved two cars. An ambulance arrived shortly after 5.25pm, with the damaged vehicle later cleared from the scene by 7.00pm.
