BAXTER — A traffic study for a proposed 76-unit assisted living developmen t along Lake Forest Road in Baxter was recently accepted by the Baxter City Council.
The proposed 4-acre site for Lake Forest Assisted Living is the northeast corner of the intersection of Novotny and Lake Forest roads in the rapidly developing Novotny Road area of the city.
ADVERTISEMENTThe traffic study noted plans are for the assisted living facility to begin construction in the fall of 2026 and be open a year later.
The proposed VA clinic, expected to open in the fall of 2027, would be across Novotny Road from the assisted living facility.
The connection to the existing Lake Forest Road is not required as part of the assisted living project.
