An independent review has revealed that 94 patients suffered harm at the hands of orthopaedic surgeon Yaser Jabbar at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) in London between 2017 and 2022. Of the patients harmed under his care, 36 suffered severe harm, 39 moderate harm, and 19 mild harm. Mr Jabbar is believed to be living overseas and no longer holds a UK medical licence. The review criticised Mr Jabbar for an “unjustified preference for certain surgical techniques including unconventional or unrecognised procedures”. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "We are in contact with Great Ormond Street Hospital in relation to this matter.
