Ross Knox entered a property in Northfield Avenue on September 20 last year while shouting and swearing. A disturbance ensued, with Knox eventually leaving the house while still in possession of the blade. While he was being arrested, Greenock Sheriff Court heard, shouted derogatory terms at a female police officer and spat on the ground. Knox pleaded guilty to three indictment charges at Greenock Sheriff Court through defence solicitor Amy Spencer, including the possession of a knife in a public place without reasonable excuse or lawful authority. Ms Spencer told the court a social work report would be required before sentencing as Knox has never before served a period in prison.
