Paul Scott (Image: Lancashire Police)Maxwell has pleaded guilty to manslaughter but denies murder and possessing a knife, while Clegg denies all the charges.
Mr Scott, 37, died at his home in Peridot Close, Blackburn, on June 22 last year when he was stabbed in the chest by Donlin.
The prosecution say Donlin was motivated by revenge after Mr Scott and a man named Charlie Elliott had been involved in an incident with Maxwell, Donlin's mother.
Donlin's defence is that he had only intended to scare Mr Scott, and that he was going to film it and put it on Snapchat as a threat to Mr Elliott.
He said there was no evidence Clegg was armed with a knife, no forensic evidence linking her to any weapon, and no messages showing her tracking down Mr Scott.
