At around 4.40pm, three fire engines from Burnley and Bacup attended a fire on Burnley Road. Fire crews used a variety of equipment to extinguish the blaze. A spokesperson for the fire service said: “At 4.38pm, three fire engines from Burnley and Bacup attended a fire at Burnley Road, Dunnockshaw involving an outbuilding. “Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, one thermal imaging camera and two hose reels to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for approximately three hours and thirty minutes.”
