Earlier this month, Imran Azam, 38, of Burnley Road, Accrington, was jailed for six years and 45 days at court. On December 27, Azam was reported for driving dangerously on the M65, weaving in between traffic and speeding. A stinger was deployed, but that didn’t stop Azam from trying to make his escape. “Instead of stopping for the police, he led us on a pursuit, not even stopping when he jumped out of his car. "We will continue to tackle it, and would urge anyone who may see someone driving dangerously, or have information that could assist us, to get in touch.”
