Rock star Lenny Kravitz responded emotionally to a decades-old cast photo from “The Jeffersons” after actress Marla Gibbs shared the image on social media, highlighting his enduring connection to the groundbreaking sitcom where his late mother starred. Gibbs, 94, posted the 1975 photo of the entire cast on her Instagram account Jan. 27. The show was a spinoff of “All in the Family.” Roker died of breast cancer in 1995 at age 66. “I knew that it was politically, socially, you know, my mother was playing half of the first interracial couple on primetime television,” he said. In a 2024 interview with PEOPLE, Kravitz revealed that he continues to watch episodes of the show when he misses his mother.
