CLEVELAND, Ohio — Two years ago, award-winning filmmaker Johnny Wu purchased his first piece of Chinese armor.
The Collective’s mission is to foster cultural understanding and civic engagement through exhibitions, performances, and educational programming inspired by the historic Silk Road.
The Silk Road Cultural Collective is named after the vast trade network stretching 4,000 to 5,000 miles from China to Rome.
The Asian Armor Heritage Showcase is the first cultural artifact initiative presented by the Silk Road Cultural Collective.
“You don’t have to be Chinese to wear Chinese armor,” Wu said.
