ARLINGTON, Virginia — Gerber Products Company has announced a voluntary nationwide recall of limited batches of its Arrowroot Biscuits after discovering the potential presence of soft plastic or paper pieces that could pose a safety concern if eaten by children. The recall, announced Monday and published by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Wednesday, affects select Gerber Arrowroot Biscuits 5.5-ounce packages produced between July and September 2025. Gerber said the issue originated with an arrowroot flour supplier that had initiated its own recall. The company said it has stopped working with that supplier and said that no other Gerber products are affected. According to the company, consumers can identify impacted products by checking the 10-digit batch code printed on the back of the packaging near the “best before” date.
