A young man told police officers “get the armed response and riot gear” after damaging his mother’s front door. His mother woke up to the sound of loud banging at the front door which also woke up neighbours who contacted 999. Inverness Sheriff Court heard there was broken glass on the landing of the address, with various items strewn across the floor. Fiscal depute Rebecca Coakley told Sheriff Robert Frazer that he began punching and kicking the interior of the van and shouted abuse and threats at officers. He told them “I’ll kill you dead” and “Get the armed response and riot gear, I’ll kill all of youse.”He was cautioned and charged at Burnett Road Police Station, Inverness and made no response.
