Operation Tango was conducted by Thames Valley Police on Wednesday, January 28, which resulted in eight arrests for drug-driving related offences.
The areas of the county the officers visited included Beaconsfield, Gerrards Cross and Denham between Junctions 1 and Junctions 5 along the M40.
“For some, this will mean the loss of their licence and financial penalties, which will have implications for their employment and personal lives.
“The ripple effect is felt by more than just the driver.
“This helps us safeguard road users and pedestrians from drug drivers on our roads.”The operation was in partnership with Buckinghamshire Council, Buckinghamshire & Surrey Trading Standards, Thames Valley Police Rural Crime Taskforce, Thames Valley Police South Buckinghamshire, the DVLA and National Highways.
