GRAND FORKS – Fundraising will be a top priority for the next phase of the Altru Sports Complex, including more naming rights for amenities inside the complex. Grand Forks Park District Executive Director George Hellyer recently presented updates on his department’s fundraising efforts for the building. The park district could also implement a donor wall for smaller donations, and the size and placement of name recognitions will vary. He also said the park district has already started putting together those naming opportunities and creating campaign materials to draw in potential donations. The park district, city of Grand Forks and Visit Greater Grand Forks are also cost-sharing for a new tournament development specialist position.
