The assault happened in Gaol Hill, outside The Forum, on Thursday morning. A man got into a row with a small group of protesters campaigning against the oppression of Kurdish people. A man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of assault (GBH) and was taken to Aylsham Police Investigation Centre for questioning. Inspector Daniel Mather said: "This was a spontaneous protest, and we believe it to be an isolated incident.
