Eilidh Lowell was diagnosed in December 2022 with advanced stage 4 metastatic colorectal cancer that has spread throughout her liver.
The treatment was meant to last for six weeks, but unfortunately she caught a bug which meant it could not go ahead at all.
“This is due to my first trip failing because of a gastric bacterial infection I caught.
I required hospital Intravenous antibiotics and then became very anaemic, so I required two bags of red blood cells as I wasn't fit to fly back home.
“The Immunocine Cancer Centre could not treat me due to my immune system being already under serious pressure.
