Scotland to 'lead the world' as Lanarkshire AI Growth Zone could create 3,400 jobs

The growth zone, which the UK Government said is backed with more than £8 billion of private investment, is expected to create a significant number of construction roles alongside around 800 permanent jobs in AI and related technology sectors.

“Scotland has everything AI needs, the talent, the green energy, and now the infrastructure.
He added: “The Lanarkshire AI Growth Zone marks a meaningful step in moving the UK from AI ambition into AI in production.”Scottish business minister Richard Lochhead said the announcement is a “welcome endorsement of Scotland’s existing strengths and future potential in this transformative sector”.
