The Maharashtra SEC had announced dates for the Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti elections in the state on January 13. Maharashtra Zilla Parishad, Panchayat Samiti electionsAccording to the SEC, the Zilla Parishad and the Panchayat Samiti elections will be held across 12 districts -- Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Pune, Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, Solapur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Dharashiv, Latur, and Parbhani. Each voter would need to cast two votes: one for Zilla Parishad and one for Panchayat Samiti. In the 12 Zilla Parishad, 431 members will be elected.
