LIVINGSTON COUNTY, N.Y. — People convicted of animal abuse crimes in Livingston County will now be required to register in a public database.
The Livingston County Board of Supervisors approved the registry on Wednesday evening.
Those required to register will also pay a fee and keep their information up to date.
The decision came as the sheriff’s office took over dog control services, creating what officials called a one-stop shop for animal-related issues.
