ROCHESTER, N.Y. — RG&E and Monroe County are partnering up to accept and process applications for the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) at three outreach events in Rochester, starting Friday. At every on-site event, a county staff member will help support and process HEAP applications. An RG&E customer advocate will also be available to help customers and answer any questions. Applications first opened on Dec. 1 after a month-long delay due to the federal shutdown. Applications will be accepted through February.
