A classic rock legend says he’s trying to get in shape for his new tour, but not everyone’s convinced by his health regimen. John Mellencamp shared a new video Tuesday showing himself smoking cigarettes while walking on a treadmill. “Hey, I’m trying to get in shape for my tour next summer,” he said between puffs of nicotine. “Smoking cigarettes is not getting in shape. There will also likely be new music, as Mellencamp said he plans to release his next album, “Orphan Train,” in 2026.
