MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – Nearly three years after flooding devastated Vermont communities, FEMA is chipping in money to help pay for some damaged state infrastructure. Nearly $23 million will help the Agency of Transportation replace and relocate the VTrans district garage in Berlin. The town of Marshfield will get $2 million for repairs to the Onion River Bridge to make it more resistant to future flooding. The money comes as the Department of Homeland Security released more than $2 billion in federal funding to rebuild communities hit by past disasters nationwide.
