China is currently building a particle accelerator that is nearly four times larger than the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN. This device could soon revolutionize our understanding of the Universe. The world’s largest particle accelerator is set to open around 2030, located about 300 kilometers east of Beijing, China. “As a cutting-edge energy machine, the instrument could uncover an entirely new set of particles,” the report states. Furthermore, it’s worth noting that a project to upgrade the LHC, located under the Franco-Swiss border, has already started last June, parallel to the Chinese project.
