Chennai: Two persons from Uttar Pradesh were arrested for sticking plastic tape at the opening layer of the ATMs through which money is dispensed. The accused used to remove the tape and take money from the tray after the customer leaves thinking that money is not despatched. After putting up the plastic tape, they would stand outside and watch the activities in the ATM. When a customer tries to draw money, it will be stuck in the plastic tape and will not come out. After the customers leave the ATM, the accused would remove the tape and steal the money left in the tray.
