Hyderabad: Telangana Council of Higher Education chairman V. Balakista Reddy on Thursday said industry participation in designing curriculum has become essential as higher education adapts to fast-changing technology needs.
Speaking at the meeting, US Consul General Laura Williams said the emphasis was on outcomes rather than announcements.
Speakers said the Hyderabad meeting helped shift the conversation closer to implementation.
Discussions focused on how universities, start-ups and industry can work together on artificial intelligence systems, cybersecurity tools and skills development, while keeping safety, accountability and national interests central.
Academics from American and Indian universities, along with representatives from technology firms, discussed ways to support shared research, training programmes and safe deployment of emerging technologies.
