Nizamabad: Political parties, especially the ruling Congress party decided to win majority of seats in municipal elections. Based on survey on winning candidates in municipal elections, the parties will finalise the contesting candidates in Nizamabad Municipal Corporation and other municipalities in Nizamabad and Kamareddy districts. For the first time, the senior Congress leaders are also not directly involving in finalisation of municipal corporator and municipal councillor posts. Meanwhile, Nizamabad city Congress committee president Bobbili Ramakrishna participated in Congress seniors meetings on municipal elections. BRS party working president KT Rama Rao is directly monitoring the municipal contesting candidates in districts, he said.
