The data also says four-in-five gig workers, or 81%, say life insurance is critical to their financial security with gig workers also showing stronger interest in various forms of insurance coverage compared to non-gig workers. When asked if they have certain types of insurance – such as life, health and dental, critical illness or disability – nearly one-fifth, or 18%, of gig workers said they do not have insurance.
