(ABC 6 News) – At its Feb. 2 meeting, the City Council will consider a resolution affirming Rochester as a “compassionate city” and discuss joining litigation against Operation Metro Surge.
Council members Dan Doering, Nick Miller, and Patrick Keane requested more action from local leaders that could increase transparency around ICE arrests and alleviate concerns.
Council member Norman Wahl said he wished individuals on either of the issue acted more civilly toward the other side.
The primary purpose of these briefs is to furtherinform the court of the local impacts of the federal enforcement actions.
The Rochester City Council meets again at 6 p.m. February 2.
