State Rep. Krista Knudsen (R-Lake Shore) toured Menahaga High School on Wednesday, Jan. 28, visiting various classrooms and hearing legislative requests from Superintendent Jay Kjos and the Menahga School Board. “I’m supposed to represent 1/134th of the total population of our state,” Knudsen explained. Developmental Adapted Physical Education instructor Isaiah Hahn told Knudsen about unified classes at Menahga School, along with Special Olympics activities, with a slide presentation. Shannon Geisen/EnterpriseKramer pointed out that Knudsen ran against a former Menahga Elementary School teacher, Brian Hobson. Knudsen said her focus is “local control, funding and flexibility,” “untying the hands” of school boards and administrators.
