The family of Alex Pretti, the man who was fatally shot by Border Patrol agents on Saturday, has retained an attorney. Schleicher acknowledged a social media video of Pretti being tackled by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents on Jan. 13 after spitting on a vehicle and kicking its taillight. “Nothing that happened a full week before could possibly have justified Alex’s killing at the hands of ICE on Jan. 24.”
