Ghana’s Minister of Transport, Joseph Bukari Nikpe, has revealed that the nation will celebrate the launch of its national airline in 12 months. "By President Mahama’s vision, we have put up a task force. The task force is working, and I'm telling you, within the next period of 12 months, we will be celebrating Ghana airline flying to the rest of the world", he assured. Establishment of the Task ForceIn May 2025, a 10-member task force was established by President John Dramani Mahama to oversee the creation of a new national airline for Ghana. The task force is chaired by Charles Asare, former Managing Director of the Ghana Airports Company Limited.
