A business climate lobbyist group, the Pan-African Business Forum, is asking members of the Norwegian Nobel Committee to consider United States President Donald Trump as the recipient of the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize. However, in a letter written to the Norwegian Nobel Committee by Dr Ladislas Prosper Agbesi, Président Pan African Business Forum, the group argues that this nomination carries the weight of the broader African business community. “We believe that the brand of peace President Trump is championing extends far beyond the mere cessation of political conflict; it is intrinsically linked to security and economic development. Also, the Pan-African Business Forum points to what they term as unprecedented global peace negotiations. Last week president Trump accused Norway of not awarding him the honour in a letter to Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store.
