John Sakakeeny, chief underwriting officer of North America property and casualty insurance, SiriusPoint LtdSiriusPoint Ltd has appointed John Sakakeeny as chief underwriting officer of North America property and casualty insurance, the company said today. Mr Sakakeeny will report to Patrick Charles, head of North America insurance, and Anthony Shapella, group CUO. He will oversee underwriting and programme management teams across SiriusPoint’s North America insurance business, with responsibility for driving profitable growth and strengthening technical underwriting standards. Mr Shapella said the position was created to embed deeper underwriting expertise within the North America division after a period of growth. “I look forward to working closely with the North America team and the group chief underwriting office to help drive growth, strengthen our capabilities and deliver impactful solutions for clients and partners,” he said.
