Image: PixabayThe City of Cape Town has announced a month of road resurfacing from Sea Point to Camps Bay, a stretch notorious for traffic bottlenecks during peak summer season. According to the City, roadworks will take place in Sea Point, Fresnaye, Bantry Bay and Camps Bay, and run from 29 January to 28 February 2026, weather permitting. ADVERTISEMENTThe Atlantic Seaboard project forms part of routine maintenance aimed at extending the lifespan of the City’s road network. Cape Town is well known for its traffic congestion, and was recently voted the sixth most-congested city on the planet. “This project forms part of regular maintenance to prolong the longevity of the city’s road network to keep Cape Town moving,” Quintas added.
