LK Bennett was acquired by Gordon Brothers yesterday (28 January) in a deal that rescued the brand and its intellectual property (IP) but did not include its stores. Drapers understands that LK Bennett employs a total of 145 staff members across the UK and Ireland to date. 89 employees work across its store estate, which includes nine standalone stores and 13 concessions, which are expected to trade for a period of “up to three months”. It remains unclear if the 56 head office employees will remain at the business following the acquisition.
