A fire that displaced eight residents at a Concord condominium complex Wednesday afternoon was apparently caused by a candle, according to a Contra Costa County Fire Protection District spokesperson.
The fire was reported at about 1:20 p.m. at 1740 Sapling Court, located near Concord High School.
The fire was put out by shortly before 2 p.m., and the cause of the fire was determined to be a candle in one of the units, according to fire district spokesperson Lauren Ono.
