Keiji Inafune announced that he has closed down Comcept following the decision of the company’s shareholder meeting on January 13, 2026.
During Inafune’s tenure at Comcept, he produced concepts for Inti Creates’ Azure Striker Gunvolt, Koei Tecmo’s Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z, and Soul Sacrifice.
Keiji Inafune was also known for establishing Level5 Comcept as a subsidiary of Akihiro Hino’s company Level-5 in 2017.
This led Hino to absorb Level5 Comcept into Level-5’s new office in Osaka in 2025 and dissolve the Comcept subsidiary.
Even though the Comcept company has already closed down, Keiji Inafune is still involved in the video game industry to some extent.
