Grand Rapids-based Long Road Distillers is investing nearly $680,000 to expand its off-site production capacity and quadruple spirits production to meet demand for its canned cocktails.
The 20,000-square-foot expansion to the distillery’s production space at 1750 Elizabeth Ave. NW will include property improvements and equipment to support production of Long Road’s ready-to-drink cocktails.
The move is the latest step in Long Road’s expansion into ready-to-drink (RTD) beverages following the release of its first three canned cocktails in 2023.
Long Road’s expansion at Elizabeth Avenue will include new distilling equipment, such as a column still for vodka, as Long Road beefs up spirits production.
With an expanded production space, Long Road will also begin producing variety packs of its canned cocktails.
