A San Jose, California Mexican restaurant called Tostadas successfully defended itself against a damaging social media video by posting security footage that showed exactly how the complaining influencer violated the rules. The restaurant quickly decided to “clap back,” sharing its own security camera footage that told a dramatically different story. “I didn’t have my ID, so I had a picture of my ID,” the influencer complained in her clip. The restaurant staff quickly took the remaining food and drinks away, refusing to serve them any longer. And just like the Catania restaurant, which inadvertently revealed a customer’s affair, you can’t fault the business here.
