Owners Cynthia Wright Wilson with Pat Vandoren describe the restaurant’s menu as comfort food reminiscent of a Sunday meal at a grandmother’s house. While shrimp and grits is a common dish, Kountry Kitchen also offers oxtail and grits and catfish and grits. “It’s not spicy, but it has such a good flavor.”In addition to specialty grits, the menu includes classic comfort foods such as meatloaf, fried and baked chicken, pinto beans, black-eyed peas, macaroni and cheese, and cabbage. Kountry Kitchen offers indoor dining, outdoor seating and private rooms for special events.
