Central Indiana spared from several more inches of snow this weekendINDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — After the big winter storm that swept across Indiana during the weekend, many communities were still digging out Thursday and dealing with lingering snow-covered roads, travel advisories, and slick secondary streets. One of the first systems to watch is much closer to home, lake-effect snow developing off Lake Michigan. In this case, the most persistent lake-effect snow is expected to stay focused in northwest Indiana, especially in Lake, Porter, and LaPorte counties. For the rest of Indiana, especially central and southern sections, any snow from this lake-effect setup should be minimal. The other major snow event this weekend is even farther away.
