City of Monterey Park celebrates Lunar New Year with weekend festivalJoin ABC7 Los Angeles, the City of Monterey Park will host the 2026 Lunar New Year Festival on Saturday, January 31 from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. and Sunday, February 1, from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. The City of Monterey Park, event producer World Journal and all our food vendors, entertainers and merchants invite you to celebrate the arrival of the Year of the Horse. Monterey Park's Lunar New Year festival features vendors offering unique gifts and specialty items, food booths with various types of delectable items, amusement rides, and lots of live entertainment. The traditional New Year lion and dragon dancers will kick off the festival Saturday morning. A carnival fun zone will be featured in the parking lot at the corner of Garvey and Lincoln Avenues.
